I have the genes of a murderer, an addict, and a psychopath but that is not me.
All I want is to create opportunity to make this wicked world a more bearable place.
But at times I struggle to keep any faith, when I consider where I originate.

I have no pity for my family, generation after generation of the same mistakes.
You wouldn’t know me if you saw me on the street so I hope you’re not looking for my sympathy.

Your lives made no difference to me then so why should I care now?
Excluded from shame’s tradition for the blight on who I am.

I’d give the shirt off my back to a perfect stranger before I’d give the likes of you five lousy cents.
It’s not the blood that is shared that makes a family.
I turn my back on those who can’t give me the time of day.
